Corsair Gaming K70 RGB MK.2 Rapidfire not recognised on Monteray

On my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017, 2,9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7) I'm trying to connect a Corsair Gaming K70 RGB MK.2 Rapidfire keyboard because I'm already used to it a lot. Every single time I connect it the Keyboard Setup Assistant opens and asks me to configure it. After pressing the asked button and choosing whatever option in the next dialog the keyboard works but changing the layout doesn't. My keyboard has GB layout but my MacBook has US layout. With older versions incl. BigSur the Setup Assistant didn't pop up all the time and switching layout worked with the layout switcher. But now with Monteray the layout simply sticks to US layout which is quite annoying. I like the keyboard a lot and I don't want to replace it.

Would be cool to find a solution for this.

HI mbodev,

We understand you'd like to change the keyboard layout on your Mac. We're happy to offer some guidance.

You can change that by navigating to System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources tab, then on the left side click the + button and then select the layout you want to use. Make sure to also remove the original layout you had setup in there.

Write in another language on your Mac

If you're using some 3rd party keyboard instead of the one that came with your computer, you may also want to check with the manufacturer of that keyboard to see if any additional steps are involved to change the layout, or if you need to install any software or drivers to make it work properly with a Mac.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

Hi,

I know where to find that option and I have U.S. and British in the list like I had in BigSur. But it doesn't change anything whatever I select. It stays with the U.S. layout. This was working perfectly in BigSur with my settings and just stopped with the update to MonteRay. So up to now no extra drivers or steps needed - which I didn't hear about for quite some years now that a standard keyboard would need extra drivers. I'm not asking you how to set the color of the keys, just why layout change doesn't work anymore.

Removing all entries except the one I want to have at the moment would be very inconvenient but next to that it also made no difference. Just tried it. Also attempts with "British - PC" fail to change to the proper layout.

Interestingly today it stopped popping up the Keyboard Setup Assistant.

Here some screenshots and a pic of the keyboard - maybe you can tell me what to set to get it work:
