iPhone Keeps Crashing

iPhone 11 | iOS 15.1

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but my phone has been crashing several times a day for the past week and a half or so. Could it just be iOS 15.1? I’m just getting a little concerned at this point.

Some things that have occurred would be:

  1. Apps crashing immediately when clicking on it
  2. Random black screen with the spinning wheel
  3. iMessage will crash immediately when clicking on the text-entry box
  4. Some websites will say “A problem repeatedly occurred on _________”
  5. Sometimes I’ll be using an app, and it will crash randomly

Some of these go away when I restart my phone, but I’m currently experiencing #3 right now.. Any thoughts? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Hi browndairycow :-)

Wondering if you have enough memory / storage free on your iPhone, for the operating system to operate smoothly.

Apple support have articles online (links below) that may help check.

How to check the storage on your iPhone

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201656

If storage space is a problem::

One way to free up space, is to transfer some of your important, or larger files (Photos, Videos, Music etc) to an external storage device. Eg: back up files to a computer, flash drive, or portable, external drive.

It seems iCloud storage is mainly used for syncing files across various devices, but is also an option.(A back-up is still important.)

What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage?
