Apple pencil battery

Hello, I just ordered an iPad 9 gen and an apple pencil gen 1. The pencil will be coming soon in a few days but the iPad is getting shipped in about 6 to 7 weeks. If I leave the apple pencil in its box until I get my iPad in about 7 weeks, will it affect the battery of the pencil since it will be unused and boxed the whole 7 weeks?

Assuming that you are purchasing your Apple Pencil directly from Apple (who will have high turn-over of stock), the Pencil should be absolutely fine without immediate charge.

New Pencils ship in a very low power shipping state - which should protect the tiny battery from deep discharge. Pencils that have been in-stock for a very long time may be more vulnerable to battery issues.
