My27" iMac seems to have one of the USB ports not working....any thoughts?

Has anyone ever had one of the USB ports on the back of an iMac stop working? It doesn't power the SuperDrive....though it works on my Powerbook.

Try resetting the SMC.

How to reset SMC in iMac, Mac Pro, Mac mini

1) Shut the Mac down and unplug the power cord.

2) Wait 15 seconds with the Mac unplugged.

3) Plug the power cord in and wait 5 seconds.

4) Turn on the Mac.

If that does not help, the you will need to make a service appointment.
