Connectivity issues

i have connectivity issues at my remote camp. I have a first generation se, in camp a friend a iPhone X, whereas I had no connectivity he was able to text and call. When using a Wilson cell phone booster I go from

no service to two bars 4 g and usually one bar lte. My question is will a newer phone give me a better connection in my remote camp. Which model I phone would be best for connectivity in my situation?

Thanks

Hi rico174,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We understand that when you're in a remote location that your signal is not as strong. This could be to the available service coverage by your wireless carrier. Before making changes to your iPhone, it would be best to check coverage availability with your carrier.

To address this behavior on your iPhone, make sure you have available carrier updates installed in Settings > General > About. Find this and additional steps in If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad.

Regards.
