Unable to enable access to contacts

Hey there,

I’m unable to enable access to contacts since day one on my iPhone 12. If I go to Settings -> Privacy -> Contacts, it’s just not possible to turn it on for any of the apps (+ not all apps to whom I’d like to grant access are shown there). I’m adding a screenshot from Calendar to see the difference in how it’s just not possible to do anything.

Can anyone help me out with a solution? I guess, I had this issue on my previous iPhone 7 as well, but then I didn’t see it as an issue, rather a nice safety measure. 😀

Thanks!

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 15

Hello Cukrra,

It sounds like you are experiencing issues enabling contacts for certain apps. We understand how important this is to you and we are here to help.

Let's try deleting the apps in question and reinstalling them. This may trigger the request for contacts access, which you can then approve. This article should help: Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Which iOS version do you currently have? Also, were the requests to give access to contacts initially denied? Just to clarify, the issue with your iPhone 7 was never resolved, is that right?

Cheers!
