My credit card is denied at Apple, then how can I add funds
Add Funds:
Read the links below about various ways to pay for items in the iTunes and App Stores.
- Add a payment method such as a credit or debit card to your account. See this link about 'Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID' --> https://support.apple.com/HT202631 then see this link about how to 'Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods' --> https://support.apple.com/HT201266
- Add money to your Apple ID balance - "Use a payment method, such as a credit or debit card, to add funds to your Apple ID balance." This takes the previous payment method one step farther by optionally using it to irreversibly add balance to an Apple ID instead of having the card charged each time.

- Create and add money to an iTunes Pass - "At Apple Stores and select retailers, you can add store credit directly to the Apple ID that you use for App Store, iTunes Store, and iBooks Store purchases." - https://support.apple.com/HT203021
- Redeem your App Store & iTunes Gift Card --> https://support.apple.com/HT201209
Card denied
Review this document about what to do "If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store" Click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT203005 It mostly just suggests you make sure your payment method is up to date or to try a different one. Apple is probably just checking with the system linking to your financial institution and asking if the payment method is valid. The system is providing a negative response. Make sure the name and address are entered exactly as it appears on your financial institution bills and that the 3 digit CVV is correct. Check with your financial institution about the status of your card.
Make sure this is one of the 'Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID'; click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT202631 For most people this means a card from the same country as the store you are using, but read the part at the bottom of the support document for specifics.
If you still have problems, contact official Apple Support. Click here --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region/ Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

You may wish to try dealing with the denied card issue first and see if that makes all the options for adding funds available to you. Apple will likely at some stage require the presence of a valid payment method such as a card if your are getting item that require money. Apple says: "Some purchases might require that you have a credit card on file, even if you use your Apple ID balance to make the purchase." - from: What you can buy with your Apple ID balance --> https://support.apple.com/HT211187
For a variety of reasons Apple will almost always require a functional payment method such as a credit or debit card be present when downloading anything from the iTunes or App Stores that isn't totally free (so a free trial doesn't count as free), even if the item will be paid for with Apple Account balance. The only solution to satisfy this requirement is to add a valid payment method.
