I uploaded some photos to a shared album and my friends say that some (not all) of the photos don’t appear in the album. Instead, they show up as a gray box with a cloud logo in the lower right hand corner. When they tap the photo, the cloud turns into a moving timer icon but gets stuck 1/4 of the way. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it?

I'm having same issue... For me it seems isolated to pictures I take in portrait mode and share directly from my iPhone. Once they sync with my MacBook, I can share the same photo from my MacBook without issue. I have photos set to take in most compatible mode. I wonder if that is the issue. I am going to change settings to default apple HEIC format to see if that is the issue.
This is also happening to me. Please let me know if there’s anything to do to fix this!
