MacBook Pro will not resolve an IP address

About 3 days ago our MacBook stopped connecting to our WiFi. We have multiple other devices connected to various acces points in the house. There is definitely not an issue with the wifi service in the the home.

The MacBook is a 2019 MacBook Pro running 12.0.1 Monterrey.

Regardless which SSID I try to connect to the Wi-Fi indicator switches between “On - Wi-Fi is turned on but is not connect to a network.” And “ No IP Address - Wi-Fi does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the Internet.”

I have booted into safe mode as well as a standard boot and nothing changes.

i have cleared the NVRAM and PRAM and nothing changes.

I have added a new DNS in advanced settings… same result.

I have also run Diagnostics and can post whatever data would be helpful.

mis it possible the Wi-Fi adapter has died?

I would love any help someone can offer. I simply don’t know what else to do.

When you ran the Apple Diagnostics did you use WiFi or an Ethernet connection? If you used WiFi, then you have a network configuration issue with the user account or possibly the network configuration file is corrupt or damaged.

Try creating a new admin user account and logging into the new user account. See if you still have the same issue.
