I can no longer use "save as" on Excel. It automatically saves instead to OneDrive. I want to save Excel files on my iMac and iCloud. I have Excel 16.54 running on iMac 21" late 2013. Catalina 10.15.7

I can't say for sure, however I'd look in the Excel app's preferences. If that is not it then you will need to contact the Microsoft hosted Office for Mac product forums.

It's been a while since I have used Excel, but in the "File" menu, if "Safe As" is not present, try to hold the "option" key while in the "File" menu. It may reveal additional menu items.

I can confirm that iCloud functions are limited/buggy on Catalina 10.15.7, even outside of Excel i.e. Finder. It is what it is unfortunately.
