Can’t scan more than one Smart Health Card for Health and Wallet apps

My two kids both go their COVID-19 shots on the same day. I was able to scan my eldest’s Smart Health Card record into the Health and Wallet apps, but when I try to scan the younger child’s, it states ‘Vaccination Already Added’, and that ‘this vaccination record was previously added to Wallet and Health.’ How can I get both their records scanned into Wallet and Health?

Yup, did the exact same thing, same results. I logged a bug. It’s pretty high priority for people travelling. It seems to me, and from other accounts here that matching lot number and date encounter the unique constraint. Who knows, maybe it is accidentally going by last name instead of first to determine uniqueness?


The QR codes themselves differ. If you decide them the (encrypted of course) results also differ, so that’s not the problem.

I am having the same issues, both my kids got their shots same day and time. QR codes are linked to separate files, just can't be recognized in health. I was able to load up the first and not the second. I then deleted the files and re-entering in reverse order, but results were the same. Only 1 file registered and displayed in the files, with the other file being noted as already entered in health.


You figure Apple must have a work around for this.

I communicated with support about this yesterday (1/18/22). I was given a support case id but was then left on hold and haven't heard back.


iphone 11. two sons got the vaccines on same days. have a massachusetts covid vaccine smart health card for each. was able to add the first one, cannot add the second due to this 'already added' issue. attempted to add using my phone to scan QR code on laptop screen.
