Transfer images from Panasonic Lumix TZ202 camera with USB, WIFI or Bluetooh to Apple computer?

According to the Panasonic manuals for this camera - bought some months ago in Europe - the camera supports moving files from the camera in four ways:

  1. Using a direct cable connection with a USB cable from the camera to the computer
  2. Setting up the camera to make it own WIFI hot-spot and connect using wifi from computer
  3. Using Bluetooth to connect to smart devices like smartphones (and iPad, I assume)
  4. Taking out the card from the camera and moving it to the computer (e.g., MacBook Pro) or an external card reader

Some weeks ago, the Bluetooth connection worked, and I moved a few pictures from the camera to my computer, but now one approach four works (taking out the card).

I have struggled with the camera for many hours, and it will simply not connect with any of the three first methods to my MacBook Pro (late 2015). I'm running macOS Monterey version 12.0.1. and everything is updated and new cables all the way around.

I can read a LOT (and I mean hundreds) of people asking for similar issues about Panasonic devices that refuse to collaborate with mac devices!

So what is the problem - and does anyone have a suggestion to deal with it? (Other than moving the card)

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.0
