My 2018 MacBook Pro was stolen from my car while I was at work tonight.
I’ve tried to lock it remotely via my iCloud account but is there anything else I need to do?
I have my proof of purchase/receipt but it doesn’t seem to have a serial number on it. Is there another way of finding my serial number so I can contact Apple support about it?

You serial number is online—click in one or two here—>https://support.apple.com/my-support
I will say however Apple Support is not in the business of recovering stolen items. Contact the local police if you want to report it.
