Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard with iPad: Function Keys

I just got an iPad and the Apple keyboard for work. I need to use the functions keys as standard function keys and not to control volume, brightness, etc. Is there a way to do this? I can't seem to find anything in the settings menus.

This really works, thanks a lot. After activating the F2 as you indicated I was able to access the drop down menus in Citrix. This is a Big help.

Do you know how to get your external keyboard to work without a bar appearing in the middle of the page? I have just started trying to use this, and the ever-appearing bar has made it really frustrating. I am sure it's a knowledge deficit on my part - but as reported previously, there's not a lot of info on using iPads and ext keyboards within Epic...
