No FaceTime option on Contacts

I have one contact in my list on my iPhone where the FaceTime option is not showing. Other contacts are fine and do show the F/T option.

The same contact on my iPad does show the FaceTime option however.

What can I do to rectify this as it precludes me making or receiving FaceTime calls on my iPhone to this one particular addressee?

Hello PaulSG,

We see that you're not getting the option to FaceTime one particular contact. We'd be happy to help!

For testing purposes, could you try making a new contact and copying over the data from the previous contact to see if this issue is still present?

Also, which OS version are you running on your iPhone? You can check that in Settings > General > About.

Cheers!

Thank you.

Using IOS 15.1 on both iPhone and iPad

On my iPhone I have just created new contact with same info (comprising his iCloud email address only; he has no phone - just an iPad).

Still there is no FaceTime option showing.

(On my iPad the original contact details shows FaceTime as an option but the additional contact, entering the same email address, shows Call in lieu of the Facetime option.)

Does this info clarify my issue?
