Hi I just got a new audio interface to plug in my bass guitar into Logic, I’ve switched the audio preferences to make the interface the input, and the interface reads when I play the bass, and in my MacBook preferences it is able to pick up when I play the bass just not in logic for some reason. I’m at a loss if anyone could help it would be much appreciated!!!
MacBook Air (2020 or later)
Make sure you've set it in Logic's Audio Preferences, not just the System prefs on your computer.
You can tell Logic to look at any/all methods of input/output.
If you go to Audio/MIDI Preferences. Then in Audio prefs you see an +&- button. If you do + you can make an Aggregate device. Select the ones you wanted to use and create. Then in system audio you can choose the device.
Maybe this works. But don't know if you have to make an Aggregate or combined device. Just try them both. and not forget to choose the device in audio prefs from your machine and in your DAW.

I'm sorry, could be my English. You find it in your application list -> help-Apps -> Audio/MIDI Configuration. Then there you see the configuration app where you can add aggregate and combined devices with + and/or - option.
I added a screen shot of the location. It's only in Dutch but you can see the icon where you find it. ;-)
And what output?
Thats ok but, you have to set the correct interface/sound-card in Logic Preferences.
What brand of interface do you have, and where from (interface or pc) are you listening to your Bass signal?
Out put was the computer speakers.
the brand is generic from Amazon the manufacturer is Ruipuo. I made sure it was the right option in preferences by unplugging and plugging back in to see if it disappeared from the input options and it did, so it can recognize it. And the sound bar can even pick up when I plug in the jack into the interface just not the bass notes.
There are more then 1 option to use your sound devices. The possibility's are endless. Before you know it, you are studieing audio production with all the technical things. So don't get lost in to much technical computer stuff.

Yeah I already looked in both the computer and logic audio preference
The +\- button is in audio pref? Or in midi, either one I can’t seem to find that option
