Find my watch last location

I cannot locate my watch and have turned my house upside down. The last known location seems to be updating once per day (at my home) but I can’t figure out how. The screen is showing black - I think it is completely out of batteries. I have tried to play sound but can’t hear anything.

is it reasonable to assume the watch is still somewhere in my house or is there any other way the last location can be updating?
