How to Reset Encrypted Password

I am trying to disable encrypted password to make a backup but I can't remember the password, when I followed the apple advice and reset network settings the encryption password still existed and would not let me disable it to make a new backup.

Can anyone help me reset my encrypted password that I knew I have and doesn't seem to work anymore? I have my encrypted backup password from months ago. It says it is not the correct password, and I have not figured out how to reset it. I followed the instructions to reset the network settings, which was supposed to remove the password, and went back to uncheck the encrypted backup but it still asks for the password and will not let me uncheck it.

it didnt work, reset network setting several times and failed to get a result
