Face ID notes

I locked my notes with Face ID but now it doesn’t work and asks for password which I don’t remember . Can you help with that.

Face ID no longer working on Notes I have some locked Notes on my phone and used Face ID to unlock them as I wouldn’t remember the password, this has worked fine for ages but now suddenly it requires a password (which I can’t recall!) and isn’t giving me the option of Face ID (which is working on everything else!). Starting over with a new password on new notes is no good, I need access to my old notes for work stuff! What can I do? Seeing questions from 2018 with the same problem and seemingly no solution?

Face ID on notes I had put locks on my notes which opened with Face ID, since the new IOS upgrade, my old notes are asking for password, which I don’t remember putting and Face ID option is not coming I need them urgently please

Once you forget your Notes password, the notes locked with that password remain locked forever.

But why don’t they open with a Face ID as they did before?
