Bought this cord but iphone se doesn’t recognize printer

An iPhone has never touted the capability of printing using a wired connection.

iPhone can print wirelessly to AirPrint capable printers.

Thank you. I was hoping there was a work around but this confirms what I feared. (We don’t have WiFi or good cellular data reception.
