macOS hangs when trying to Update Apple ID Settings

In System Preferences, I am being prompted to Update Apple ID Settings and when I do so following the instructions, my system hangs during the process (step 3 screen shot). Is anyone else having this issue? I'm running macOS Monterey Version 12.0.1. Please see the included screen shots for a visual of the issue. Thanks!

Try signing out completely. Do not remove or download any extra data from iCloud because you'll log back in later and everything will be back the same.

Before login back in, restart holding Shift to load Safe Mode. Once you see the login screen, restart normally and then login to your Apple ID.

Check if you can now update your information or if it asks for it at all.
