I have blocked telemarketers numbers but they’re still coming through and I read if blocked numbers are still coming through. “There is a reason why for this, at least I heard Spammers, use a spoof app that hides their actual number from your caller i.d. so when they call you and you block the number, your blocking a number that doesn't exist.” Is this true or is there a way to truly block a call?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds as though you are receiving calls and messages from blocked phone numbers on your iPhone. Have you tried using the suggestions provided in article, Detect and block spam phone calls? If so, were you also able to download and install additional filters from an app provided by your carrier or downloaded from App Store to assist in detecting spam contacts?

Thank you - I did figure out that sometimes the phone companies flag telemarketers and spam risks for you - so they show up with those titles as names. Since I myself had names blocked numbers spam risk and telemarketers they were coming through.
