No options appear for Transfer in migration assistant

Migration assistant on my new MacBook Pro can't find my existing MacBook Pro to transfer—nothing is appearing. I'm using wifi and both are on the same network.

I just purchased a new Macbook Pro I am trying to use Migration Assistant to transfer my files between my old MacBook Pro & my new one. It will not go past the “looking for source” step. Both are connected to the same WiFi & they are next to each other.

Btw, both machines have to have migration assistant running at the same time for this to work…
