iPhone 13 Pro Max - Screen Issue after Charging

I’m wondering if anyone else has this problem too, it seems to maybe be a software issue.


phone screen is fine for hours/days. But when I hook it up to a charger or even wireless charge, after 5 minutes of charging the screen looks like 3/4 of the screen is darker then the top 1/4 after I lock/turn off screen and come back. If I turn phone off and back on screen is fine until next charge…


took to Apple Genius Bar and they couldn’t figure out issue and want to take phone apart and replace parts… it’s only a week old so I’d rather return it but sadly nobody has any in stock…

It doesn't look right.

If you bought AppleCare+ there is an express replacement service.

If the 14 day return period has passed then Apple can reserve the right to repair or replace with new or as-new parts or phone in a reasonable time.

How many times they can attempt a repair and how long the wait before you can reject it outright depends on the laws in the country or state where you live.

I am not Apple btw.

Yes, my wife phone has the same problem.

Brought it to Apple store, they did not have a replacement in stock. Told us they will replace the screen.

Two days later, the problem came back.


Been in talk with the Apple support on the phone. They asked me to pay $29 for express service because

my wife does not want to go without phone during the service time.


I think this is not a one off (there're more than fifty respondents with the same problems) problem.


Apple should look into this and educate the support teams and the geniuses so that people don't have to waste their time and money.
