When I open safari and go to google it is in Japanese and when I open YouTube all the ads are in Japanese. I live in US. All my language settings are set to English. I don’t know what to do. If anyone can help I would appreciate it and also I am not technology savvy so if you know how to help please dumb it down for me. Thank you!

Are you using a VPN?
VPN IPs are often shared with other users, which can lead websites to provide unexpected localization settings.
A VPN is usually activated on purpose by the user through a specific app or in Settings -> VPN (if it's active the VPN Status shows Connected).
Since you're asking then very likely you're not using it.

Does it still show Japanese results?
When you stated that all your language settings are set on English, did you mean Google settings too (they are set here https://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en&fg=1#languages)?
How would I know if I am using a VPN and where would I go to find that?
Yes even in private mode it is still in Japanese. When in private mode and not, it says my location is in Japan on Google.
