I continually have this problem where I want to send a video or even just a photo, if it’s to a non-Apple phone (android) the message fails to send EVERY TIME Is this Apple being petty wanting others to purchase their phones? Surely not?!others to buy Apple – surely not?

I just had to have a look before I went off to sleep and noticed that MMS was already activated yet SMS is turned off. As I said earlier, will try more in the morning as it’ll be getting close to 3 am by the time I climb into bed.
At this stage, just wanted to show you the MMS was already activated yet SMS is not – happy New Year and will reply after I read all the answers. 😊
Settings > General > Software Update > download & install osx 15.2
I'm not sure what triggered the problem for me, I was definitely sending pictures to android users ten days ago, well AFTER my last osx update (I remember that update, it broke Do Not Disturb by changing the default settings), and then suddenly I could NOT, not from my phone and not from my laptop. I haven't tested whether group chats work again yet, but I can text pictures to my android spouse again after installing 15.2
Thanks so much, I got this answer in the wee hours of the morning so will definitely try it when the sun comes up and let you guys know. (I was only joking about Apple being petty – I love Apple!) Will send another reply when I try and send a photo to my friend next door with the Samsung lol)

Me too, my phone is fully updated. I went to change the settings to MMS as suggested but it was already on that setting so I’m going to look further into it in the morning as we’ve just celebrated New Year’s.

I just updated to 15.2. The problem still exists! What can I do now? It is so frustrating not to be able to send pictures to my loved ones who don't have iphones. HELP
