Extreme SSD: This accessory requires too much power

When I connect my SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD to my iphone 8/iphone 11 pro/ipad(6th gen) using the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter I get the message “Extreme SSD: This accessory requires too much power.” This happens even after connecting the lightning slot(12w) on the Adapter. I used the charger adapter Model A1720 output power 5V 3A or 9V 2A. The SSD is formatted in exFAT as well. Actually it worked first for a few mins and I keep getting the message after that.

Has anyone faced this problem? How to fix this?
