norton does not work
I have Norton AV installed and have the latest Apple operating system (Monterey) installed. Norton software will no longer open. Does this mean that Norton AV. will not work?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.0

This is probably a godsend...
Third party AntiVirus is not recommended— it typically does nothing but add issues to the macOS and competes directly with Apples own built in security:
macOS - Security - Apple https://www.apple.com/macos/security/
Apple Platform Security - Apple https://support.apple.com/guide/security/welcome/web

Oh and just as an additional FYI, if you have any 3rd-party Mac 'cleaners', eg Clean My Mac, installed, you should removed those,, too. All the tools you need to keep your Mac running smoothly are included with macOS. They do nothing but slow down your computer and, eventually, you'll likely need to reinstall the OS.
