Using 15.1 iOS books keeps crashing after about 10 to 15 seconds of reading.
i have had off and on before, but normally turning off and on would resolve.
but now will not resolve at all. Unusable. How can built in app be so unstable?
i never have issues with kindle app?

Wondering if, when reading, your iPad thinks you are no longer using it ?
Unless you are turning a page, you are not really interacting with your iPad moment by moment, as you would usually be.
You might want to check through your siPad's settings.
Perhaps there is a setting that needs adjusting, so your iPad doesn't close after a few minutes of (seeming) inaction.
(ie: Is the Books app really crashing ... or is the iPad turning off to save power, and "sleeping" ?)

Wondering if there is a setting in the Books app, or in screen time, or do not disturb, that isn't helping.

So I went and changed my display setting to never auto lock and restarted the iPad. Still minimizes app after about 1 minute, even if I touch the screen, so it is not crashing but minimizing. It has only been doing this for the last week or 2. Quite annoying when you are trying to read 😩
I have only used 63 of 128 GB so is not a storage issue. I can see on App Store many complaints in reviews recently, so I think issues may be with the app.
