Apple pay

So I tried to send $40 from my Apple Pay wallet to my cash app card, but I had forgotten to reenable my card and cashapp ended up declining my transaction. But then when I had reenable my cashapp are and contacted cashapp they said I can retry again but the money didn’t do back to my apple wallet. So where did my money go?
