iOS 15.1 stuck in preparing update

I am two hours into trying to update my iPhone 11 to IOS 15.1. I need to do this to pair my new Watch. I have tried deleting the file and starting again to no avail. What are the next steps?

Cannot update to IOS 15.5 from iPhone 8 plus I have an iPhone 8+ with storage available showing that I need to update to 15.5. Ive tried several times to update but once the system begins the update an alert comes up saying there’s an error with 15.5, I can RETRY or REMIND ME LATER. Those are the only decisions I can make. I’ve tried both options repeatedly. Can you assist so I can program a new Apple Watch?

I solved my own problem. I am chalking this up to crappy wireless courtesy of Comcast/Xfinity!!
