Watch keeps asking for me to enter email password on my phone but then my watch says An Unknown Error Occurred once I’ve entered my password. 1st day with the new watch and I was so excited! I have been trying to get it to work for 6 hours and am no longer excited but frustrated.

Apple Watch Hi on my watch app it is asking that I enter my password for my email accounts. When I do, it says unable to authenticate account , please make sure Apple Watch is near by and unlocked. It is unlocked on my wrist. I’m not sure how to rectify this. I am unable to get emails on my watch as a result. Anyone else have this issue? both phone and watch have all updates. Watch is set to mirror phone. thank you.

Series 5 apple watch When i stared pairing the watch i got a message to enter i cloud email and password so i put it and i got a message this email cannot unlock this watch !

Try signing out and back in again on your phone then restart phone and watch.
