Supply & Demand:

Don't forget about where these are manufactured, and what is occurring: COVID. It's a matter of Supply & Demand. It took me 6 weeks to get my iPhone. It may take the same amount of time for you.

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

This is perfectly normal. You need to remember that iPhones, iPads and Macs are shipped directly from Apple's manufacturing facility in China (something which doesn't sit well with me, given the CCP's somewhat questionable, to put it mildly, record on human rights), they are not coming from your local Apple subsidiary. I ordered (well, my father ordered for me) a new M1 MacBook Pro on the same date) and that's still not shipped, either.

When you configured your device, there was an 'estimated delivery time' given at the bottom of the customisation page. I seem to recall it was between 6 and 8 weeks after ordering, therefore tomorrow (06/12) is realistically the earliest date in which my Mac will ship (but it could take until the 20th). That's just for it to ship. Shipping typically adds around another 2 weeks. Therefore I could be waiting until 04/01/2022.
