WiFi Calling on my iPhone 8

When on WiFi calling with my iPhone 8 in my home my voice is garbled like I am in a well. I have a strong WiFi signal and sit net to the modem. The person I am talking to voice is clear to me. I called AT&T and after troubleshooting they concluded that it was a hardware problem with my iPhone.

We understand that you are having some difficulty using Wi-Fi calling, and we'd like to help. If this only happening when using Wi-Fi calling, and not when using your cellular signal, try using a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue remains.
