iPod not recognizing my laptop

Hi I just got my iPod over the summer this year and recently when I go to plug my iPod into my laptop it says "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod" and I've tried factory resetting my iPod 2 times but nothing works and my cord works fine.

iPod not showing up in iTunes I am working on uploading new music to my brothers iPod Classic. I did this about two months ago for him without any issues but now my computer and iTunes are not recognizing that he iPod is plugged in via USB. I checked "System Information" to see if my laptop was even reading the device and it isn't. I have no idea how to move forward....

iTunes does not recognise iPod when connected When I connect my iPod Classic to iTunes on my laptop which uses Windows iTunes doesn't recognise the iPod. Sometimes if I come out of iTunes and go back in it works but not today. I also tried connecting via a different port. No luck. Very frustrating.
