Big Sur wont reinstall

I did a factory reset on my mac book pro and every time i try to reinstall macOs BIG SUR i get this message. .


"Failed to personalize the software update. Please try again."


ive been trying to do this forever now smh. I cant even use my laptop because it keeps booting in recovery mode, saying that the MacOs installed needs to be reinstalled. Ive reinstalled it over 6 times now and still nothing

It sounds like you may need to "clean install" Mac OS...


I hope you have a Time Machine backup... If you do, then start by:


Erase your disk - https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT208496

Install OS - https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204904

...finally...

Restore - https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203981


IF this is way too much, It might be better to take your Mac to an Apple Store or a certified service provider near you... https://getsupport.apple.com
