New SE iPhone calls go directly to voice message with ring, how fix?

Check to see if you have call forwarding turned on. If not, then contact your carrier. They are responsible for call handling, and except for call forwarding, there is nothing on the iPhone that would send calls directly to voicemail. The carrier will need to troubleshoot this one.
