Hi
sometimes (??) on my iPhone’s lockscreen I see a symbol in the top right corner just below the battery icon. It briefly appears and then it’s gone. It looks like two small horizontal switches, one in the off position and one in the on position.
can anybody tell me what this is?

Does this only appear on the lock screen?
Do they appear as you're in the process of unlocking the device, or are they there when you wake the display?
Do you use Face ID to unlock your device?
As another possibility, do you have any Accessibility features enabled on your device? Get started with accessibility features on iPhone

Thanks for getting back at me. I see the icons only on the lock screen and only briefly when tilting the phone and only in the evening. Maybe it's got something to do with night shift ? Anyway, I couldn't find any reference at all to this symbol

These icons art supposed to make something clear but instead there are very confusing. Don’t know what Apple intended here…..
