I am using migration assistant to transfer everything from my late 2011 MacBook Pro running High Sierra to my brand new 2021 16” MacBook Pro. Do I leave “System and Network” checked even though they use different OS or do “uncheck” it to move forward?

MacBook Pro 17″, macOS 10.13

If you deselect it, you'll need to redo system setting and reestablish your network. In reality that's never been a big job to me, but I guess it depends on your expertise level at setting up a Mac.
