In one of the review videos I noticed a square shaped power adapter that included an ethernet port. I purchased an ethernet adapter from Apple because my ISP uses an ethernet connection. Did I not need to purchase a separate ethernet adapter. Is there one included already This is in regards to my new IMac 24" which I don't have yet
As we have no idea at this point which model 24" iMac you ordered it is a little difficult to answer.
If you bought a base model 24" iMac they do not come with the power adapter with the Ethernet connection in the adapter. If you bought a mid-level or higher 24" iMac then they come with the Ethernet equipped power adapter. If you bought the base model, you can either return it and upgrade the computer. Another option is to simply buy the adapter you need from Apple. I'd give AppleCare a call and they can direct you to how to get the adapter. AppleCare contact Information or you can contact your local Apple reseller.

Thanks for your reply I bought the base model; Also bought an ethernet adapter from Apple. That is why the Apple employee did not tell me that I did not need it. That explains it
