permanently remove Facetime from dock
Here's an annoying problem: Facetime started constantly reappearing in my Macbook dock. I have dragged it into the trash maybe .... 50 times? It is annoying because it says there's over 100 updates, you know it has that little notification flag on it. I'm very well not going to go through and find out what fresh annoyances await inside those unwanted updates in order to eliminate them. The FANGS have trained our Pavloian "ALERT!!!" response to that little red circle and is is distracting while I"m trying to run a business. "HEY! ALERT! PAY ATTENTION TO ME! HEY! STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING! HEY ARE YOU LISTENING?" And it pops up every day, when I've been nowhere near Facetime.
So, who has a solution for getting rid of it permanently? All developers should follow the cardinal rule that unnecessary notifications will get them blocked, deleted etc. I don't even let my chat app notify people of a hello.
