Apple Watch eSIM
If I buy an Apple Watch Cellular now (before Vodafone supports eSIM) can I get it activated once they do or should I hold off and wait until they do before I buy the watch?
Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!

Be aware that there are 2 different radios, so make sure you get a cellular model that works in your region of the world
There are 2 Apple Watch cellular radios
• Canada, U.S. Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador
• The rest of the world
Carriers will not attempt to connect to an Apple Watch that does not use the correct radio.
If you do not get your Apple Watch in your own country, you may have to return the Apple Watch to the country where purchased to get warranty service.
If you do not get your Apple Watch in your own country, there may be country specific restrictions in the installed Apple Watch software that prevent features from working when you get home.
You can activate cellular at anytime in the future or not at all,the choice is yours.
Until then the watch will function as if it is a GPS only model.
Thanks for the advice, I have decided to go ahead and I've purchased it direct from Apple NZ so there shouldn't be any issues
