Finder not responding - solution

I too had the issue with Finder not opening and after much frustration and many "Force Quits", I tried something completely different. The problem is not Finder per se, it is the Files stored on iCloud. When you try to move them or do anything with them that is when Finder hangs. So I created a File "outside" of iCloud, like Downloads or such and dragged my files into there. From there I was able to work with them and do what needed to be done without Finder hanging. I hope this helps and makes sense. Good Luck as it would appear that Apple are not interested in fixing this issue....

For local iCloud issues— sign out of iCloud and back in again.

Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac
