Hello so I have an iPhone 7 and I was wondering since a lot of people can use their iPhone's with no WiFi on the roads and such and I was wondering why mine dosent work like that? I use cellular data but it usually dosent work that much ! Thanks and I hope someone can answer my question :)

iphone connected to wifi but always chooses cellular I have two iPhone 7 Plus phones. Both are connected to the same wifi as well as every device in my house. But my iPhone appears to choose the cellular connection for data. If I tell the app to only use wifi, or turn off cellular data, it works fine on wifi. But then its not usable when I leave my home. Simply opening up safari to google, it will say no internet on my phone but my wife goes right to it (cell connection is only 1 bar in my home). My instagram is crazy slow or won't connect, youtube videos will not play. I have rebooted the phone and reset the network settings as suggested in most google searches. IOS is up to date. I am about to wipe and re-activate. But I wanted to look for other suggestions before I take this rout.

Iphone favors mobile data over wifi New issue with my iphone XR... man they must be pushing those 12s hard! Anyways, my phone lately has been refusing to use wifi over mobile data, forcing me to put it in airplane mode (just because it's easy). I only have one bar of mobile data at my house which is how I've figured it out, any time the signal grows week I dont have any internet because it refuses to use the wifi. I can jump on my laptop without an issue. it is so irritating.

What exactly happens when you attempt to use Cellular Data on your iPhone 7?

Have you checked with your cellular service provider? Does your cellular service provider regulate your data speed based upon usage? Contact your cellular provider for more information.

It sometimes works but then other times It dosent work in certain areas. But thank you again and I hope you have an amazing day :)
