Why did they remove microphone icon from messages on watch?

Now I have a message, and I have to hit TWO buttons to use the single most used feature of my watch, dictated text.

I was trained by Apple to NOT use siri, since siri decided to entirely forget my wife's name (tells me there is no shortcut, which is true, since i have never had any shortcuts at all)—but only for my wife, not for anyone else. So I decided to never use siri, since I would then forget and try with my wife, which would not work, so I'd rage again. I want to be able to use the same method for all people, not all but one. So siri is off the table, and now the microphone icon is gone.

Apple's UI people are literally the worst, when was the last time anything they changed got better?
