Take a look at this for ways that you can import the photos to your PC. If you choose iCloud Photos, make sure that you understand how it works.

Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

There are also WiFi transfer apps in the App Store that can transfer photos for you. You can search for them if you like.
