So I need to go on another line in Notepad, but I don't want it to keep the same background color. I tried Option + return and it doesn't work.
The text is pasted in here that's why it has a different background color.

I can't help you as there is no application called Notepad installed by default on Mac.
Is this an application on the Mac you are trying to use, if so where did you get it from?
There is no function within Keynote called Notepad.
No such thing as Notepad in Keynote or in Mac OS.
