System glitches on startup so no commands are working, cannot access safe mode or recovery mode as the glitch takes me straight to login screen after loading midway on grey screen then flashing a black screen with bar
Plug in a USB (Apple, PC or Generic) keyboard and try entering the startup key commands.
To help you we need more information. The year of the Mac mini, is it an Intel Processor or a M1? What version of MacOS are you running, Big Sur, Monterey or earlier? The bar would be the progress bar under the emblem for Apple, that would be common and it does not necessarily go all the way across before Login screen occurs. Is your keyboard USB or Bluetooth? How are you trying to access Safe Mode or Recovery?
Click on the Disk Utility "View" box and select "Show All Devices"
It’s an Intel processor.. running on High Sierra.
I use a Bluetooth Logitech mx keys keyboard.

Will try this thanks, also is it unusually that I cannot see “apple disk image” when in disk utility as I used to be able to see it now I’ve noticed it’s gone
