Will it stop nagging me if the Mac OS is at its limit and the iPhone is more advanced?

Every time I connect my iPhone SE to Mac OS 10.13, I get nagged to update my OS.

The MacMini is old and cannot update to the next OS -- tried it and had such a mess I had to reinstall.

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Hello, martindo123.

It is pretty common for the OS to prompt the user for an software update when connecting an iDevice. If you are receiving the prompt described in the Related Article linked above your post, I recommend that you allow that update to happen.

It is a small utility update that enables proper communication with your iPhone/iPad. It is not a major macOS update. It's very small and likely to take just a brief moment. And yes, once done, the Mac will stop bugging you about it.
