I have the free 3 month trial of apple TV+ but cant seem to access it from my apple tv on my TV

If you were offered a three months trial, then you first have to redeem it. It is not automatic, you have to legally say, “yes I want this, starting at this moment” by clicking buttons. The subscription is for your account, so verify that the accounts used match.

Redeem the offer from Apple on your new eligible Apple device in the TV app. Once you have signed up, then the subscription will be available on any of your devices with the Apple TV app, when signed in with the same Apple ID account.

Note that for Macs, users have to additionally sign in to the TV app (menu Account), for the redeem option to appear.

It sounds like you might need to login to the Apple TV with the same Apple ID that you redeemed the trial on. If that isn’t the problem, you might want to make sure that the Apple TV is getting a proper network connection and reboot the box.

Purchased iPad early November at Apple store. Was specifically told I was entitled to 3 month free Apple TV, and that it be automatically available upon first login to Apple TV. Nope. Not happening. Tried out instructions referenced above - https://offers.appletvapp.apple/tvp01213mf. Nope. Nada. Nothing. Just asks me to sign up for paid plan. Bait and switch? How do I acquire what was promised?
